Why should authors blog? While authors need a website as an online home base where potential readers can learn about them and the books they have to offer, a blog is now considered an important addition.
This exclusive workshop, a benefit for SLPA Members only, will explain the importance of blogging vs. having just a website; examine Blogger, WordPress and professionally-designed blogs; point out the vital information to include in a blog; give examples of what to blog about; and discuss methods of attracting an audience. If there is time at the end, participants can brainstorm to help each other find their blog themes.
Kim Wolterman and Linda Austin, Board Members of the St. Louis Publishers Association, are published authors and active bloggers. You can find Linda at http://moonbridgebooks.com, and Kim at www.writeformation.blogspot.com.
Note: The workshop will not include set-up of participant blogs.
